Rolling Back the Years
Skin Needling is a skin rejuvenation treatment that helps to support the skin's regeneration of collagen and elastin through a natural healing process. Ultra-fine medical-grade stainless steel needles are passed vertically across the skin creating multiple surface skin channels with an automatic vibration function that stimulates natural collagen reproduction while allowing fine channels to be created in the skin. The channels can carry up to 80% more topical nutrients, allowing for treatment delivery deep into the skin's fibroblasts to feed the underlying cells found in the dermis and basal layer. This increased absorption of active ingredients into the skin creates stimulated repair and faster resurfacing results.
The treatment is designed to support skin regeneration to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin texture, providing an overalll more youthful and glowing appearance. This treatment also supports the healing of acne scars and improves the appearance of stretch marks and srgical scars.

Does it hurt and what is the recovery time?
We will ensure that the treatment is as comfortable as possible by applying a cosmetic grade anaesthetic cream prior to the treatment. After a skin needling treatment, you will appear moderately sunburnt and feel a little tender. It is important to use mild cleansers and creams on your face in the next 48 hours whilst the skin is recovering. After 5 days there should barely be any evidence that the treatment took place. We also have a range of serums available in selected clinics that can help to speed up the healing process and enhance results.
When can I expect to see results?
New collagen production is a process that takes a number of weeks. Around 6 to 8 weeks after initial treatment is when you can expect to see improvement in the skin. We recommend a series of 3 treatments every 6 to 8 weeks to gain the best result.
Are there any reasons why I can’t have this treatment?
As is the case with most cosmetic procedures, pregnant and breastfeeding women or those trying to conceive are not suitable candidates. People with active acne or other skin conditions and some autoimmune conditions are not suitable, nor are those who have used prescription strength oral or topical retinoid in the previous six months. Skin needling is also performed with caution for people that suffer hyper pigmentation and have a history of herpes simplex virus, which your practitioner can discuss with you.
